Welcome to Catholics in Business
There are many things we can be proud of in life. For many of our members, it is the knowledge that they’ve worked hard, built a business that employs people, and know that they’re also doing something good for the community.
We need a moral compass in the way we deal in business. In a time when many find traditional ways of engaging with the church redundant, Catholics in Business is a new initiative to get people together to help make a difference to the lives of others in a way that is relevant and where members can see the results of their contributions.
About the Founder
Father James Grant founded Catholics in Business in Adelaide after working with a number of large corporate organisations with ‘Chaplains Without Borders’. In this work he’s identified a real need in businesses to get more out of their social programs.
‘I work with banks, major retailers, construction companies, transport groups. And I’ve come to realise that, in addition to looking after their staff, a number of employers are looking for a vehicle to engage with the wider community, to pool their talents and make a real difference to the world out there.’
With over thirty years of pastoral care and experience both here, the US and Europe, he’s considered one of Australia’s most innovative priests.
